Father God, I come before You right now lifting up my brother Todd. Lord, Your Word says to taste and see that You are good, and that the man who trusts in You is blessed. I anchor this week's prayer there with everything I have, because Todd was in the hospital last week, and a man whose body keeps turning on him needs to know, deep in his bones, that You are good and You can be trusted.
Father, I am asking for supernatural healing. Not the kind that manages symptoms. The kind that only You can do. Todd is carrying a rare condition that his own body keeps fighting against, and the doctors are doing what they can. But You are the Great Physician. You made every cell in his body, and You know exactly what has gone wrong. Speak to it. Correct it. Let the Holy Spirit continue the healing work You have already started, and let it go deeper than medicine can reach. I am asking for a miracle, and I am asking as a brother who believes You still do them.
Lord, strengthen Todd's body after last week. Restore what the hospital stay took out of him. Give him rest that actually heals. Give his doctors wisdom, and where they do not have answers, give them the humility to look again and the insight to find what they missed. Let the treatments work beyond expectations. Let the next visit surprise everyone.
Father, more than anything, I ask You to help Todd trust You. It is hard to trust a God who is good when your body keeps failing. It can feel like the evidence is stacked the other way. Speak louder than the evidence, Lord. Meet him in the hospital bed and the hard mornings and the moments of fear. Give him a peace that does not make sense given what he is facing, so that he knows for certain it came from You.
Hold his family, Father. Give them strength to walk with him. Let them see You being good to Todd in ways that build their faith instead of testing it beyond what they can carry.
And Father, I rebuke every attack of the enemy on Todd's body, mind, and faith. Satan, you have no authority here. You do not get to use this illness to convince Todd that God has abandoned him. You do not get to whisper that his body failing means God's promises failed. You do not get to plant despair in a man God is healing. Every plan you have to steal Todd's hope, we see it, and we shut the door on every one of them in the name of Jesus.
Father, build a wall of protection around Todd's body, his mind, his home, and his family. Send Your angels into every appointment and every night when the fear wants to take over. Let him feel Your nearness so clearly that the enemy's voice loses every inch of ground it tried to take.
Refill what is empty, Lord. Give Todd moments of joy this week that come out of nowhere, just to remind him that You see him, You delight in him, and You are fighting for him.
I thank You for Todd. I thank You for a brother who keeps going when his body gives him every reason to stop. Heal him, Lord. Trust him with a testimony.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Taste and see that the Lord is good, brother. I know your body has been giving you every reason to doubt that sentence. Hospital beds are hard places to say it. So I will say it for you until you can say it yourself.
Here is what I need you to hear. God's goodness is not measured by your lab results. His faithfulness is not proven by how you feel on a given morning. He was good before this condition showed up, He is good in the middle of it, and He will be good on the other side of it, whatever that side looks like. Your body is under attack. His character is not.
Trust does not mean pretending you are fine. It means bringing the not-fine to Him and believing He is good enough to hold it. He is not tired of hearing about your body. He made it. He is still working on it. Keep coming.
Your prayer request was sent directly to me. I'm praying with you. You don't have to carry this one alone.
